About Me: Being brought up in a small city of different ethnic backgrounds, I remember the smell of different cuisine coming from different homes in surrounding neighborhoods. There was and Italian section, Polish section , Spanish section in a mainly Pennsylvania German populated county. I was introduced to these great traditional flavors as a young child. I moved to California for a short period of time and was introduced to Mexican cuisine when few people in Pennsylvania knew what a taco or burrito was. Upon returning I met up with my father, who was a chef/owner of a casual fine dine restaurant, where I was introduced to Classical French Cuisine.
As time passes I see more and more of these old world flavors sadly being lost or replaced with fusion dishes. As I enjoy coming up with new dishes, fusing dishes and learning new cooking techniques, I also strive to keep the old world traditional flavors and techniques that I become accustom to alive.
